NOW may be the time to turn in your AS400 if you have access to e-agent / e-home.

Here is the scoop:  Every agent has a PU # assigned to them by Farmers Home Office. This PU # gets "reset" every time you sign on to your AS400. Farmers keeps your PU # active as long as you sign into someone's AS400 as least once or twice a month.

When you turn in your AS400 your PU # is automatically deleted unless you sign up for IVANS at the same time. When you sign up for IVANS you're guaranteed that you keep your PU #.

The cost for IVANS is about $107.00 a month but if you NEVER sign into IVANS, then you NEVER get billed the $107.00 per month but still get to keep your PU #. All you have to do is call your DM office once a month (or go by) and sign onto network using their AS400 using your sign on code.

Remember these things:

1. You should have your own database but Farmers will have the "clientvision" on the

dashboard in the next 4 months.

2. Give 30 days notice and make the last day use of your AS400 at the end of the month

because you will pay for it anyway (until the end of that month), Cut off date for

notification is the 10 of the month - notify the AIMS specialists.

3. Farmers is working on a way to convert your "clientvision" to a one time only

conversion to a file like MS Excel. This will not have the ability to be updated once

converted to Excel.

4. Sign up for IVANS to get your PU # but NEVER sign into IVANS so you will NEVER

be billed the monthly charge.

5. Go to another agents office or your DM's office and sign onto network on their AS400 at least one time a month in order to keep your PU # from automatically dropping you off of the network (and e-agent too). Farmers may change this procedure later as more agent turn in their AS400's but this is the way it MUST be done now.

6. Get DSL from a local provider so your access to the web will be fast; include e-agent.

Consider this IMPORTANT ADVICE as a raise in your monthly income of at last $ 365.00!
